Chapter :

One fine day, Emperor Akbar discovered that he had lost his precious ring. This ring was special to him because it had been a gift from his father. Distraught, he called for his trusted advisor, Birbal, to help find it.

When Birbal arrived in the court, Akbar said, “I have lost my ring. My father had given it to me as a gift. Please help me find it.”

Birbal replied confidently, “Do not worry, Your Majesty! I will find your ring right now.”

He looked around the court and then announced, “Your Majesty, the ring is here in this court itself. It is with one of the courtiers. The courtier who has a straw in his beard has your ring.”

Upon hearing this, the courtier who had the emperor’s ring was shocked and immediately moved his hand over his beard. Birbal noticed this act and immediately pointed towards the courtier.

“Please search this man. He has the emperor’s ring,” Birbal declared.

The courtier was searched, and sure enough, Akbar's ring was found on him. Akbar was amazed at how Birbal had managed to find the ring so quickly.

Birbal then explained to Akbar, “A guilty person is always scared. When I mentioned the straw in the beard, the guilty courtier’s reaction gave him away.”

Akbar was impressed by Birbal’s cleverness and quick thinking. From that day on, he trusted Birbal’s wisdom even more.
